I've just been watching Cleopatra with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. I've seen it numerous times but everytime the costumes, make up and sets just blow me away. If you haven't seen it, it's the most visually amazing film that's ever been made.
I really wish it were sunny here, especially since stumbling across this vintage photo of Sienna Miller from her boho days. I really hate that word, boho, but it is the only way to describe her style.
I think I need this new Louis Vuitton Damier canvas neverful bag. It's mostly practicality, I carry alot of stuff everyday. I might email the link for it to my parents, it is almost Christmas...
There is no doubt in my mind that this woman is one of the greatest stylists in the world. The fact that I spend £5 a month on a magazine I can't read is testament to that.
I'm attempting to discover how other people stay looking good in bad weather, since the weather here is truely terrible at the moment. Rain, sleet, hail stones, snow, ice...
Afternoon tea at Claridges. I'd like to go everyday, who knew that tiny cakes would taste so much better than large ones? Plus it was raining all day in London so it was nice to be dry and warm in amazing surroundings.
This was the hairdo from karl Lagerfeld's spring / summer 2009 runway show. I'm not sure whether it's lace or one of those doilies that your granny had all over the house, but i love this look. image from vogue.com
I developed a mild obsession with all things leopard print. It may have something to do with the amazing new 60's faux fur leopard print coat I've just taken posession of. It always makes me feel a bit like a sixties time warp, but I love it none the less.
Mary-Kate Olsen in Paris. MK really is unique, she wears what she wants, when she wants and doesn't care a jot what people may think. Plus I love the platinum blonde hair on her. Not many people could pull off that Prada turban either.
Luella has just been voted designer of the year at the British fashion awards. I think this dress above is a pretty good reason why. Plus the amazing riding boots she showed last season.
I've just seen a woman out in the city wearing these amazing ankle booties from Topshop, with black tights and a bright purple coat. She looked pretty damn good, and you have to give her props for being able to walk (well!) in them.
H&M have announced that Matthew Williamson is the latest designer to tem up with the store for a capsule collection. Due to be released summer 2009 I think it's a pretty safe bet that there'll be lines out the doors when the clothes eventually go on sale.
Edie: Girl on Fire by Melissa Painter & David Weisman is an amazing book for anyone interested in Edie, Warhol's factory, or just the 1960's. The pictures of Edie, many never seen before, are amazing.
I think this couple by far win the award for best halloween outfit. I've seen numerous people try to do Edie and Andy but these two pull it off best by a long shot, especially Edie. Image from lastnightsparty
I'm always really interested to see what goes on backstage at the shows, when everyone's more focused on the runway... I've just got the minnetonka's on the second left model.
Christian Louboutin for Rodarte £1,500 If anyone hasn't seen it December's Harpers Bazaar has a great article on Christian Louboutin, with a fantastic photo shoot.
I cannot even describe just how good Blondie were live. The second they hit that stage everyone just went insane, I've never screamed so much in my life. Debbie Harry is amazing.
"Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary."
